YELLOW 5AL-ASG4

Yellow 5 Lake (CI 19140) (94-98%) (and) Stearoyl Glutamic Acid (2-6%). YELLOW 5AL-ASG4 by Kobo Products is treated pigment. It contains yellow lake treated with ASG (Stearoyl Glutamic Acid), an amino acid coating, that offers hydrophobic properties. It imparts a moist creamy feeling on the skin. When used in powders, it offers good skin adhesion. Furthermore, the ASG treatment aids pigments in full color development because the pigments are easy to disperse in anhydrous systems. It is insoluble in water. YELLOW 5AL-ASG4 is suggested for use in emulsions, hot pours, gels and powders.
