Water, Propylene Glycol, Mica, Polyquaternium-11, Agar, Titanium Dioxide, Imidazolidinyl Urea, Phenoxyethanol, Iron Oxides (CI 77499) and Parabens. Sp-BkFEB41a by Kobo Products are large, visible, metallic gray beads. They are made of agar, also called Softspheres™, to be soft enough for being crushed onto the skin and deliver the entrapped lipophilic and/or anionic active material without leaving any residue. It uses the properties of a cationic and amphiphilic copolymer to interact with active molecules and colorants (like titanated mica) within the sphere by means of ionic bonds and/or hydrophobic interactions. The complex is too large to move through the agar matrix and the bonded molecule is thus trapped within the soft bead. It is stable in pH 2-10, in surfactants, at temperatures up to 60°C. Sp-BkFEB41a finds application in formulating emulsions, transparent gels, shower gels, shampoos, toothpaste and soaps.
