Castoryl Maleate. KY-SMC by Kiyu New Material acts as an emollient and surfactant. It is an unusual ester, based on castor oil, a structural amide with fatty acids. It forms lamellar gel that is analogous to the lipid barrier in healthy skin. Moreover, it repairs and strengthens the barrier. It delivers quantifiable long-lasting moisturization. KY-SMC is used in rinse-off products. It has a storage life of 24 months.
