Hydroxyethylcellulose. Vida-Care HEC acts as a viscosity controlling agent. It is a non-ionic water-soluble polymer produced by reacting cellulose with ethylene oxide under controlled conditions. It is a naturally derived polymer with high salt and pH tolerance. It is hot and cold processable and compatible with anionic, cationic and amphoteric polymers & non-ionic and cationic surfactants. Vida-Care HEC can be formulated into mild, clear, anionic surfactant products. It exhibits smooth, honey-like flow characteristics. Provides excellent slip with a lubricious skin-feel in gels and lotions. Vida-Care HEC can tolerate 20% ethanol. Vida-Care HEC can be used to formulate styling & conditioning glazes, hair gels & creams, shave gels & foams, baby wipes, antiperspirant/deodorant, mascara, foam stabilizer for aerosol mousse. Complies with Cosmetics Regulation [EC] No1223/2009.
