Ester of isopropyl alcohol and lanolin acid. It is derived from pure lanolin dissolved in a lanolin vehicle. Acts as an emollient, lubricant, plasticizer and coupling agent. it has compatibility with fatty acid ester, anhydrous alcohols, mineral oil & vegetable oil. It imparts excellent “slip”, pigment dispersion, lubricity & moisturizing properties, reduces the friction encountered upon application, not only in lipstick, but in a broad variety of cosmetic, toiletry, pharmaceutical & household specialty products. It functions as a coupling agent, thereby, helping to form clear dispersions in cases of two or more liquids normally immiscible.
