Caprylic/Capric Glycerides. IMWITOR® 742 by IOI Oleo acts as a dispersant for active ingredients in anti-acne creams, wetting agent in color cosmetic formulations and refatting agent in shower gels. It is a blend of mono, di and triglycerides, mainly of caprylic and capric acid. It is 100% natural, vegan, stable against oxidation even at elevated temperatures and does not contain unsaturated components. Due to its lipophilicity, it is easily incorporated into oil phases. It enhances penetration and improves solubility of hydrophilic substances in lipophilic systems. IMWITOR® 742 finds application in formulating color cosmetics, self-tanning formulas and skin-, body-, hair-, beard-, sun- and bath care products. It is ECOCERT and COSMOS approved and has a shelf life of 36 months.
