IMWITOR® 491

Glyceryl Stearate. IMWITOR® 491 by IOI Oleo is a non-ionic co-emulsifier for O/W emulsions. It is an ester of natural stearic and palmitic acid esterified with glycerol. It is 100% natural, vegan and compatible with skin. It does not contain additives, residues of antioxidants, stabilizers, solvents or unsaturated components. Because of surface-active properties, it functions as solubilizing and binding agent, dispersing adjuvants, softeners and consistency regulators. It is applicable for hot/cold and hot/hot processes. IMWITOR® 491 finds application in formulating lotions, creams, powders and skin cleansing products. It is also recommended for makeup bases, foundations, mascara, eye shadow, eyeliner, hair conditioners and sun care products. It is ECOCERT and COSMOS approved and has a shelf life of 24 months.
