Pentadesma Butyracea Seed Butter. Acts as a moisturizing, healing, anti-inflammatory and protective active. It is derived from pentadesma tree. It melts into the skin and gives the skin a dry, silky feeling. It is even more moisturizing than shea butter. It contains high proportion of stigmasterol, (59-69%) a plant sterol and assists in healing skin irritations, including eczema. It rejuvenates and protects the skin. It is also great for stretch marks, especially during pregnancy; speeds the healing of minor burns, and protects from wind and sun damage to the skin. Because of its softening, lubricating and healing qualities, it is an excellent candidate for manufacturing soap. Used as massage oil, in skin and hair care.
