Shorea Stenoptera seed butter. Acts as an anti-wrinkle agent and as an emollient. It is obtained from the nuts of shorea stenoptera. It is a refined and deodorized vegetable fat, largely resembles cocoa butter. It has high amounts of symmetric triglycerides and displays sharp melting characteristics. It gives stable emulsions due to the uniform triglyceride composition. It is a very suitable replacement for many synthetic emolliency enhancers. It has a fine softening effect and also a good spreadability on the skin. It prevents drying of the skin and the development of wrinkles. Used in make-up and skin care products.
