Polylactide resin PLA (>98.00%). Acts as a sensory modifier, suspension aid, binder and flatting or texturizing agent. It is a biopolymer sourced from high starch crops. This high quality micronized powder offers excellent aesthetic properties. The dry, lubricious textures provided by micronized polylactic acid can enhance structured aqueous or emulsions systems to affect feel during or after application. It can be used to provide a cool, dry feel to pressed cake formulations. The binding abilities of this material also prevent cakes from shattering if they fall. It provides improved payout and is often added to obtain a smoother, silkier feel. It is inherently biodegradable. Used in lotions, cleaners and conditioning agents, pressed powders and deodorants/antiperspirants.
