Salvia hispanica seed oil. Chia Oil by Henry Lamotte Oils acts as an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and regenerative active. Obtained by mechanically pressing the seeds of the Mexican Chia, this vegetable oil contains essential oleic linoleic acid (C18:2, Omega-6). It is very high in essential Omega-3 oleic acid a-linoleic acid (C18:3). It helps reduce TEWL . It is light on the skin and is absorbed quickly into the skin without being oily. Chia Oil is used in various cosmetics and personal care formulations.
