Oryza Sativa Bran Oil. Rice germ oil by Gustav Heess acts as an emollient. It is obtained by means of solvent extraction from rice grain bran (oryza sativa). It is rich in tocopherol (vitamin E) content and unsaturated oleic-, linoleic- & palmitic acids. Moreover, wax could be extracted from oil and is used in the production of lipsticks. Rice germ oil finds application in formulating cosmetic products.
