Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil. Hemp oil by Gustav Heess acts as an emollient and protecting agent. It is pressed from the seeds of cannabis sativa plant. It has low THC content and contains linoleic & linolenic acid. It is rich in essential and unsaturated fatty acids, necessary for growth and maintenance of cell membranes. It impedes an excessive transepidermal water loss and protects the skin. Linoleic acid makes part of Ceramid I which is the most important skin’s barrier component. Hemp oil finds application in formulating cosmetic products.
