Behenoxy PEG-10 Dimethicone. Gransil VX-405 is a water-dispersible silicone wax designed for a variety of personal care applications. An innovative combination of organic wax, polyether, and silicone in one molecule. Acts as a thickening and gelling agent for water, alcohol, and glycol. Also acts as a excellent moisturizer by forming an occlusive but breathable barrier (prevention of TEWL). It takes specific properties from its three component structure – water-solubility from polyether; moisturization, adhesion, and rheology control from behenyl wax; and emolliency and silky feel from silicone. It Can be used as a non-greasy alternative to petrolatum with additional humectant property. It is a delivery matrix for water-sensitive actives, makes water-based products feel smooth and silky; sensory effects for wipes/non-wovens, provides additional surfactant and emulsifying power. It can be formulated into oil-in-water emulsions, water-in-oil emulsions, and other formulating systems; designed for a variety of personal care applications.
