Silkgel by Givaudan Active Beauty acts as a breathable protecting agent, film forming and anti-pollution agent. It is a synthetic silk biopolymer obtained by white biotechnological process (fermentation). It forms thin, transparent, non-sticky, non-occlusive, protective and breathable films on the skin. It repairs, nourishes, improves smoothness and ensures long-lasting color to the hair. It provides shield from environmental influences, small molecules and bacteria. It increases efficacy of substances by boosting its fixation. It exhibits shear thinning properties and supports the interplay of active ingredients. Due to its sensoriality, it adds texture and offers silky touch. Silkgel is recommended for use in fragrances, make-up, pollution protection sprays and hair conditioners. It is also used in skin protection creams, detox face primers and nail polishes. In hair dye applications, it can prevent premature color fading. This grade is VEGAN certified.
