Black Iron Oxide (CI 77499) (and) Dimethicone PEG-3 Laurate. Gelest Black Iron Oxide ML by Gelest acts as a pigment wetting agent. It is a maximum loading surface treatment pigment that utilizes a hydrophobic siloxane with an embedded polar segment that disrupts particle-particle interaction. The combination of alkyl and polyethylene glycol functional groups are balanced to maximize wetting in non-polar oils. It provides high pigment loading, low absorption, water repellency and improved compressibility. It offers maximized color intensity and low viscosity dispersion properties. It is recommended for powder cream formulations, pencils, cream- and stick eye shadows. Gelest Black Iron Oxide ML has a shelf life of 5 years.
