It is an organic thixotropic agent acting as a rheological modifier. It is generally recommended for processing in dispersion equipment, which does not develop heat. It is incorporated in the aliphatic systems and in the blends of aliphatic and aromatic systems. It promotes pigment and filler suspension and controls flow & leveling. Its recommended applications include cosmetics.
