Marcol™ 52

Paraffinum Liquidum. Marcol™ 52 by ExxonMobil is used as a neutral and protective diluent for cosmetics including essential oil. It is a purified blend of saturated hydrocarbon. It is obtained from petroleum through purification by catalytic hydrogenation. It exhibits superior chemical inertness, excellent color and oxidative stability. It provides excellent skin compatibility, low irritancy and comedogenicity as well as very good balance between resistance to bacteria & biodegradability. Marcol™ 52 is suitable for use in cleansers, make ups & make-up removers, hair, oral and lip care products. It is registered to the requirements of NSF H1, FDA 21 CFR 178.3620(a) and US Pharmacopeia/National Formulary Light Mineral Oil monograph.
