Dimethicone. MIRASIL™ DM 100 by Elkem Silicones is a linear polydimethylsiloxane fluid with a low viscosity and low molecular weight. It provides wet/dry combing, shine and spreadability. This ingredient offers a soft feel and protecting effect in skin care. In deodorants & antiperspirants, it provides detackification. It shows waterproof effect in sun products. It also provides anti-whitening and pigment dispersant properties. MIRASIL™ DM 100 finds application in creams & lotions, make-up removers and shaving lotions & foams. The shelf life of this ingredient is 36 months from its date of manufacturing.
