Stearalkonium Bentonite. CLAYTONE® APA V by Eckart acts as a thickening and suspending agent. It is designed to swell and disperse easily (e.g. in solvents like ethyl or butyl acetate).
  • It is an organically modified bentonite (organoclay) to increase viscosity, provide thixotropic flow behavior and suspend pigments & particles in medium to high polar oil and solvent phases in cosmetic applications.
  • It can also be used as an auxiliary emulsifier in water-in-oil emulsion systems.
  • CLAYTONE® APA V is used in personal care products such as creams & lotions, sun care products & antiperspirants, and in color cosmetics such as liquid make-up, lipsticks, cream eye shadows and nail polishes.
  • It is vegan and is compatible with surfactants & emulsifiers.
  • It has a shelf life of 60 months.
