EE 358

PEG Cocoate. EE 358 by eChem acts as a surfactant and emulsifier. It is manufactured by reacting a polyethylene glycol with lauric acid (coconut oil). The polyethylene glycol comprises the hydrophilic part of the surfactant and the fatty acid the lipophilic part. It is oil soluble. Offers good wetting and dispersion properties along with low foaming tendency. It is hydrolyzed under hot alkaline conditions. EE 358 is an alternative to alcohol ethoxylate. Recommended for cosmetic creams and toiletry emulsions.
