Retinyl Linoleate (>80%). Eastman GEM™ Retinyl Linoleate by Eastman is a high-purity anti-aging agent. It is a bio-based ingredient derived from safflower oil. It is prepared using GEM™ technology which significantly reduces energy, carbon dioxide emissions, waste, and water usage. It helps reduce appearance of lines & wrinkles, improves evenness of skin tone and smoothens texture. It is an effective, non-irritating, more stable and milder alternative to retinol. It has a low E factor of 6.0.

Its fatty acid component is a polyunsaturated fatty acid which offers better solubility in skin lipids for more effective skin care.
Once absorbed into skin, the retinol is released from the ester over time by skin enzymes.
Eastman GEM™ Retinyl Linoleate finds application in formulating anti-aging preparations, hand wash, facial cleansing, facial treatments, foundations, hand creams, lip balms and lipsticks.
It is also used in skin care oils, creams, lotions, serums and sticks.
It is a dermatologically approved retinoid containing no unwanted carriers or antioxidants.
It has a shelf life of two years.
