Methylchloroisothiazolinone (and) Methylisothiazolinone. Kathon™ CG by LANXESS is a broad-spectrum, rapidly biodegradable preservative. Offers benefits including environmentally acceptable, not bioaccumulating and no color or odor imparted to cosmetic products. It is a simple water-based formulation for ease of use in manufacture. Kathon™ CG is used in rinse-off hair and skin care products like shampoos, conditioners, body wash/ shower gels and liquid hand soaps.
