DOWSIL™ EL-9048 Silicone Elastomer Blend

Cyclopentasiloxane (and) Dimethicone Crosspolymer. DOWSIL™ EL-9048 Silicone Elastomer Blend by Dow is a thickening agent for water-in-oil or water-in-silicone formulations and silicone fluids. It is a mixture of 12.1 wt% of high molecular weight silicone elastomer in cyclopentasiloxane. It is a detackifier, sensory & texture enhancer. It provides dry smoothness and a light, silky & non-greasy skin feel and enhances the aesthetic of volatile silicones. It offers matte appearance, no balling effect when rubbed on the skin and reduces tackiness of formulations. It exhibits quick absorption, cold processing, easy formulation and improved fragrance retention. DOWSIL™ EL-9048 Silicone Elastomer Blend finds application in color cosmetics, sunscreens, styling-aids, hair-care and skin-care products. It has a shelf life of 720 days.
