DOWSIL™ 979 Emulsion

Amodimethicone (and) C11-15 Alketh-12 (and) C11-15 Alketh-7. DOWSIL™ 979 Emulsion by Dow acts as a conditioning agent. It is 50% non-ionic emulsion of an amino-functional silicone polymer, amodimethicone delivered in an opaque, low viscosity liquid. It exhibits good stability with dilution. It offers natural look, shine, enhanced wet & dry combing, reduced dry friction, enhanced sensory profile, reduced hair breakage and long-lasting hydrophobicity. It imparts fast drying, effective deposition, color protection, improved hair alignment, heat protection and non-yellowing in formulation. It allows ease of formulation and is effective at low use levels. DOWSIL™ 979 Emulsion is recommended for hair care products such as sulfate-free shampoos, rinse-off-, leave-on & styling conditioners, styling aids and hair colorants. It is produced with a sustainable focus, low cyclic content, and lower ecotoxicity than many of the emulsions containing quaternary-based surfactants.
