PURAMEX® ZN

Zinc Lactate. PURAMEX® ZN by Corbion and supplied regionally by Brenntag Specialties in EMEA acts as a moisturizing and whitening agent. It is the soluble zinc salt of natural L-lactic acid, produced by fermentation from carbohydrates. It is an excellent source of zinc, which is known to help reduce excess sebum production secreted by sebaceous glands in the skin. As lactates are an important part of the natural moisturizing factor of the skin, the lactate part contributes to keeping skin moisturized, while the zinc part helps control excess sebum. It produces synergistic effect when combined with other skin whitening agent. It can be used in skin care applications to reduce skin oiliness, as well as in hair and scalp care applications to help control oiliness of the scalp. PURAMEX® ZN is also used as an ingredient in oral care products, such as toothpastes and mouthwashes, it can function as a well soluble and neutral tasting zinc source.
