Benzyl Alcohol (and) Dehydroacetic Acid. Biocon DB by Connect Chemicals is a preservative with broad spectrum coverage. It is the combination of antibacterial benzyl alcohol with the anti-fungal dehydroacetic acid activity. It offers complete protection against gram-negative & gram-positive bacteria, yeasts and molds in the acid pH range up to 6.5. It is gentle on the skin, easy to handle and is ideal for use in natural & organic cosmetics. Biocon DB is suitable for formulating leave-on & rinse-off products, makeup, fragrances, toiletries as well as skin-, baby-, hair and sun care products. It can be used in ECOCERT/COSMOS formulations. It is Halal certified and NATRUE allowed. It has a shelf life of 12 months.
