1,3-Propanediol by Connect Chemicals is a solvent, emollient, humectant and antimicrobial agent and carrier for actives. It exhibits a synergistic effect in combination with glycerine, giving a long lasting moisturizing effect. It offers excellent sensory profile, soft feel with no tackiness & filming to the skin. It promotes higher water absorption and provides increased smoothness and softness to the hair. It finds application in formulating fragrances, toiletries, makeup, skin-, hair-, baby-, oral and sun care products. It is used as an alternative to petroleum-based glycols such as propylene- & butylene glycol. It is an excellent booster for preservative system. 1,3-Propanediol is a non-irritant, high purity ingredient produced from 100% renewable source. It is 100% Vegan, GMO-free, Ecocert & COSMOS conformed, RSPO & Halal certified. It has a shelf life of 24 months.
