PEG-8. PEG 400 by Clariant is a cleansing agent, non-greasy lubricant and perfume stabilizer. It has a moisture-stabilizing effect. It leaves a pleasant feel on the skin. It shows good compatibility with cetyl alcohol, glycerol, stearic acid, polyvinyl pyrrolidone, casein and vegetable albumin. PEG 400 is used in creams and after-shave lotions.
