Malus Domestica Fruit Cell Culture Extract (and) Hydroxyacetophenone (and) Ethylhexylglycerin. EquiScalp™ by Clariant is a microbiota-friendly, scalp soother from apple stem cells extract. It provides relief from uncomfortable tightness, extreme dryness, itchiness and redness reactions common to irritated & fragilized scalp. It maintains the level of living bacteria by preserving healthy and normal scalp bacteria population. It is rich in flavonoid phloridzin which is harnessed from stem cells of the fuji apple malus domestica. This ingredient possesses anti-inflammatory, anti-lipogenesis and barrier improvement activities. It controls inflammation and sebum overproduction by sebocytes. It limits the production of inflammatory mediators overstimulated in irritated scalp IL-1Ra and S100A8/9, and inhibits histamine release by mast cells to efficiently soothe scalp sensitivity. According to the clinical studies, it limits scalp desquamation (flaking) by 20%, and reduction in scalp sebum production of 20%. EquiScalp™ is used in oily scalp treatments, sensitive scalp formula and scalp itch erasers and other hair care products.
