Punica Granatum (Pomegranate) Seed Oil. Acts as an anti-aging active. It is a unique vegetable oil, due to the dominance in its structure of conjugated fatty acids - fatty acids with alternating double bonds. Its ability to lower the per-oxidation of other oils at a very low inclusion rate makes it a valuable natural stabilizer for cosmetic formulations. Because of its high levels of anti-oxidant activity due to its unique conjugated fatty acids, it will scavenge free radicals as they come in contact with the oil. Used in skin care products.
