RHEOCIN®

Trihydroxystearin. Acts as a thixotrope and gellant for oil phases. It is a hydrogenated castor oil derivative. It provides excellent thickening, package stability and pigment suspension. It is also a skin conditioning agent and an occlusive (or water repellent). Its efficiency is sensitive to temperature and system polarity. May be used in low polarity organic fluid systems. Can also be used in the oil phase of an emulsion to promote emulsion stability. Used in cosmetic and personal care systems.
