Acrylates Copolymer. iGEL 200 by BIOALKEMIA is a non-associating rheology modifier and alkali-swell able anionic acrylic polymer emulsion, lightly crosslinked. It provides stabilizing, thickening and co-emulsifying functions. It is easy to handle due to water-soluble and low viscosity. It is designed for high clarity surfactant cleansing formulation at moderately low pH (range 4.7-6.7). It has excellent salt tolerance and good compatibility with nonionic and anionic surfactants. It enables formulators to display colorful beads, sparkling pearls and exfoliating scrubs while achieving claims of paraben-, formaldehyde- and preservative-free as well as even skin neutral pH. It is excellent at suspending silicone, zinc pyrithione, powder and other insoluble ingredients in shampoo. It is applicable in transparent system. It is ideal for use with food-grade preservatives such as sodium benzoate and sorbic acid. It offers broad surfactant compatibility and synergistic thickening with salt. It is cold processable and doesn't require heat and short mixing time. It benefits order of addition and processing flexibility. iGEL 200 is used in foundation and sunscreen cream/lotion clear shampoo,body wash, facial cleanser, pearly shampoo & body wash and other cleansers. It is also designed for conditioning products with big particle size or high molecular weight ingredients like conditioning shampoo, anti-dandruff shampoo and moisturizing body wash. Recommended shelf life is 24 months.
