Sodium Polyacrylate. RapiThix™ A-100 polymer by Ashland Specialty Chemical acts as a rheology modifier and emollient-based dispersant. It provides soft & smooth feel, formulation flexibility and high solid content for higher efficiency. It is easy to use, shear-tolerant and effective at low usage levels. Suitable for use in cold-mix processes and can be post-added to adjust viscosity after emulsion formation and cooling. RapiThix™ A-100 polymer is used in formulating sun- (after-sun, self-tanning and sunscreen), facial- and body care products. It offers no pre-set oil phase, makes oil-free systems possible and produces instant crème gels at room temperature.
