Butyl Ester of PVM/MA Copolymer. Gantrez™ ES-435 polymer by Ashland acts as a fixative, film forming and styling agent. It is a copolymer of monoalkyl ester of poly (methyl vinyl ether/maleic acid).

It controls frizz, fly-aways spray, heat style, does not stick to curling/flat irons for hair styles with special effects and moldable long-term hold for waves.
Offers soft, natural feel in hair, easy brushable and no/low residue provides shine for gloss finish.
Films exhibit tack-free adhesion, have excellent substantivity and moisture resistance.
It is soluble in alcohols, esters, ketones & glycol ethers and has good compatibility with aerosol propellants.
Used in both low and high VOC formulations.
Provides excellent shine, good style retention and humidity resistant.
It aids pigment dispersion and emulsion stabilization.
It is also used in aerosol & hairsprays, gels, mousses, styling lotions/creams, styling sprays (non-aerosol), artistic hair styles, special effects with curling/flat irons, lift & spray volume and sculpted hair styles.
Gantrez™ ES-435 polymer is supplied as 50 percent solids in isopropanol.
