Technical DataSheet | Supplied by AMCOL Health & Beauty Solutions

Lauryl methacrylate/glycol dimethacrylate crosspolymer (and)butyrospermum parkii (shea butter). It provides exceptional rubout and elegance when incorporated into personal care and cosmetic formulations, while extending the availability of the shea butter on the skin after application. The prolonged availability of the shea butter helps improve the consumer’s perception of softness and provides a favorable, long lasting sensory cue of the cosmetic or toiletries product use. After application, the remaining polymer particles have the ability to adsorb excess skin oils, thus providing extended use benefits such as long lasting color in lipsticks and facial make-ups and mattifying and shine reduction in facial cleansers, moisturizers, and treatment products. It protects the skin from both environmental and free-radical damage. Shea butter contains vitamins A & E (Balances and normalizes the skin), F (skin protector and revitalizer), and has demonstrated both antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. Shea butter is not recommended for people with nut or latex allergies. Provides sebum control reducing shine and extending wear in color cosmetics, enhances emulsion stability, provides secondary thickening in gels and emulsions, evens skin tone, returns luster to skin & hair, revitalizes, softens & maintains skin moisture. It penetrates deep into skin to help restore elasticity. It is also used in gels, emulsions, creams, loose and pressed powders, anhydrous products, make-ups, foundations incorporating skin-care benefits, daily use moisturizers, lotions, exfoliating gels, treatments, loose and pressed powders.
