It is a light, whitish fat that melts on the skin. It contains C16:0 palmitic acid (4-12%), C14:0 myristic acid (11-27%), C18:1 oleic acid (9-20 %) and C12:0 lauric acid (38-56 %). It is similar to coconut fat due to the high lauric acid-content but provides lighter-feel. It has incredible nourishing qualities and is absorbed quickly by the skin. It makes the skin soft and has a cooling effect. It is moisturising and non-greasing. It nourishes due to the high content of lauric and myristic acid that leave a protective layer on the skin. All Organic Treasures Babassu Oil is good for nourishing baby skin as well as inflamed and acne-prone skin and is also used for massage applications. It is available in deodorized form. It is Kosher and COSMOS certified.
