Distarch Phosphate. CORN PO4 PH “B” by Agrana is an aesthetic modifier, adsorber dispersant and emulsifier. It is a multifunctional modified starch derived from corn certified as natural cosmetic ingredients by BDIH. It is a white, slipping, flowing, odorless ultra-fine powder cross-linked corn starch with neutral pH-value and low bacterial count. It is highly purified to remove any impurities normally present in native starch. The particles have a remarkably large internal surface area. It is both highly hydrophilic and lipophilic. The starch efficiently adsorbs substances dissolved in the water phase and due to the high over-drying, the sorption power is superior. It offers enhanced efficacy, long lasting, antimicrobial effect, improved spreadability, pleasant, silky skin feel. It also reduces the greasiness and stickiness of emulsions containing lipophilic ingredients. It is highly applicable in skin care products, self-tanning products, moisturizing products (day & night), deodorants & antiperspirants, products for oily, acne-prone skin, baby products, facial cleansers, sun care products, after-shave lotions, color cosmetics and post-depilatory lotions. It is a powder base for antimicrobial, disinfecting, astringent or keratolytic preparation like baby powder, lose face powders, body and foot powders, rouge, eye shadow and compact powders. It provides protracted liberation of the actives (aromas etc.) and pronounced matt imparting properties. It is certified by COSMOS & NaTrue. The shelf life of CORN PO4 PH “B” is 60 months under dry conditions (max. 70 % relative humidity).
