Glyceryl caprylate. Capmul® MCM C10 by Abitec Corporation acts as a W/O emulsifier, emollient, permeation enhancer and solubilizer. It is vegetable based and prepared by the esterification of glycerol or propylene glycol with selected fatty acids or via glycerolysis of triglycerides. It provides light silky-smooth and non-greasy feel on the skin. Capmul® MCM C10 finds application in formulating micro-emulsions, lotions, creams and other cosmetic products.
