Cyclopentasiloxane (and) Dimethiconol. Andisil® SF 1505 by AB Specialty Silicones is a cyclic carrier used in applications where a light feel is desired. It improves texture, spreadability and wet & dry combing capabilities. It combines volatile siloxane with high molecular weight gum providing excellent water resistance. In skin care products, it provides long wear of active on skin, unique skin feel, cushion, film forming, lubrication, organic compatibility, skin protectant, water repellency and wash off resistance. It is suitable for clear formulations. Whereas, in hair care products, it offers anti-frizz, conditioning, ease of formulation, soft/supple feel and low residue/light build up. It prevents split ends and is suitable for dry & damaged hair and anhydrous formulations. Andisil® SF 1505 finds applications in cleansers, creams, color cosmetics, sun care, leave-in conditioners and styling treatments. It is recommended for emolliency in lotions and serums. The shelf life of this ingredient is 12 months.
