Andisil® PDM 1222

Diphenyl Dimethicone. Andisil® PDM 1222 by AB Specialty Silicones is a low viscosity, phenyl modified fluid. It is recommended for styling aids and anti-wrinkle cosmetics due to refractive index matching. This ingredient can be used in systems that require siloxane organic solubilizing agents. It offers cushion, film forming, lubrication, organic compatibility, skin protectant, spreadability, wash off resistance and tack reduction in skin care products. It is suitable for clear formulations and pigment coatings. Also, increases shine and gloss in color cosmetics. For hair care products, it provides conditioning benefits and light residue/low build up. It is suitable for dry and damaged hair. This ingredient improves dry & wet combing. The high refractive index imparts excellent shine, enhances the soft, supple feel of hair, improves texture of damaged hair and adds heat resistance properties. Andisil® PDM 1222 is used in antiperspirant & deodorant, sun care, color cosmetics, leave-in conditioners and styling treatments. The shelf life of this ingredient is 12 months.
