5,8-Methano-2H-1-benzopyran-2-one, 6-ethylideneoctahydro-. FLOREX® by Firmenich acts as a fragrance ingredient. It has a very powerful and tenacious balsamic, Tonka-like note with a unique tangy quality. It has a sweet yet tart character that suggests tobacco and coconut with a green nuance. It can be used in all types of perfumes but has especially interesting effects in white florals, citrus and fruity accords. It contains no stabilizer. It shows tenacity for 2 weeks on a smelling strip. FLOREX® is used in fine fragrances, shampoo, shower gel, soap, etc.
