DAMASCONE GAMMA

2-Buten-1-one, 1-(2,2-dimethyl-6-methylenecyclohexyl)-. Acts as a fragrance ingredient. It has a diffusive fruity, floral and thuyone-like note, with slight tobacco undertones. The most distinctive of all damascones. Gives unique effects. Excellent results can be obtained with aldehydic, floral, woody, herbal, citrus and fruity notes. Contains 0.05% of BHT as stabilizer. It shows tenacity for 2 days on a smelling strip. It is used in fine fragrances, shampoo, shower gel, soap, etc.
