Octanal, 7-hydroxy-3, 7-dimethyl. Acts as a fragrance ingredient. It has a smooth and flowery note whose diffusion sets it apart from hydroxycitronellal’s. It can be used in all perfume types where muguet or white floral effects are desired. Contains no stabilizer. It shows tenacity for 2 weeks on a smelling strip. It is used in fine fragrances, shampoo, shower gel, soap, etc.
