Ethylhexyl Palmitate. HALLSTAR® OP by Hallstar is a detackifying-, lubricant, emollient, pigment binding- and spreading agent. It is a synthetically produced ester of 2-ethylhexanol and palmitic acid. It is a biodegradable, cost effective, non-oily, non-occlusive emollient with a rich and velvety feel. This ingredient possesses feel modification/enhancement and gloss/shine enhancement. HALLSTAR® OP is used in after-sun skin care, bath additives, beach wear sun care, daily wear sun care, eye area color cosmetics, facial cleansers and facial color cosmetics. Also, used in facial skin care, hair conditioners, hand-, foot-, body - & lip care, self-tanners, shaving products and styling aids.
