Approval Advantageous for the Customers

NATRUE approval is particularly advantageous for Cosphatec’s customers: the manufacturers of cosmetic products. It means that they no longer need to have every raw ingredient in their products tested by the organization in order to be certified. The raw ingredients already approved by NATRUE are easier to select and it is also easier to submit the end product for assessment.

The Cosphatec’s raw materials with NATRUE approval include natural multifunctional ingredients, preservative blends, antioxidants, emulsifiers, emollients, thickening and gelling agents.

Authentic Organic and Natural Cosmetics

The international non-profit organization, NATRUE is committed to the protection and promotion of natural and organic cosmetics. The organization was established in 2007 with the goal to create more transparency in an increasingly complex world of cosmetics regulation. The organization actively pursue an official and internationally valid definition of natural and organic cosmetics. In terms of consistency and transparency, the label criteria are more rigorous than other definitions of natural cosmetics.

For an end product to be able to bear the NATRUE label, it first goes through a stringent certification process conducted by external auditors. The organization allows only natural, naturally derived and nature-identical or near-natural ingredients. So far, over 7,000 products have been certified and more than 500 raw ingredients granted NATRUE approval. The NATRUE label certifies authentic organic and natural cosmetics and reduces greenwashing, providing end-consumers with an overview of truly sustainable products and allowing them to identify these more quickly.
