Sadara Chemical Company (Sadara) has marked the mechanical completion of its Ethylene Oxide / Propylene Oxide (EO/PO) Pipeline and Distribution Center Project for providing feedstock to tenants in the adjacent value park, “PlasChem Park.”
Distribution of EO & PO Feedstock
The two parallel feedstock pipelines will distribute EO and PO feedstock to various business tenants in PlasChem Park, enabling them to produce diversified specialty chemical products. The EO pipeline runs for about 6.8 kilometers (km), while the PO line runs for about 6.2 km. Both pipelines end at the PlasChem Park Oxide Distribution Facility.
Sadara’s EO and PO products will enable important applications for the Kingdom in a number of key downstream industries, including coating and paint applications, oil and gas field chemicals, construction materials, detergents, home and personal care products, water treatment chemicals, mining chemicals, pharmaceutical goods and animal feed, among others.
