GOJO_Lubrizol_SanitizersLubrizol and GOJO have joined forces to donate more than 16,000 liters – or the equivalent of nearly 65,000 8 oz. bottles of PURELL® Hand Sanitizer - to local hospitals. GOJO and Lubrizol worked with the CEOs of each hospital system in Cuyahoga, Summit and Wayne Counties to provide a 1-liter bottle of hand sanitizer to every patient room, for the months of April and May.

Carbopol® Polymer: Thickening Agent

GOJO and Lubrizol have been partners in the industry for over a decade. Lubrizol supplies Carbopol® polymer a key thickening ingredient in PURELL® gel hand sanitizer.

Both of our organizations feel a deep sense of responsibility to serve our local communities where so many of our employees work and live,” said Lubrizol president and CEO Eric Schnur. “Just like GOJO, we are being called upon during this critical time to increase production to meet the unique demands of this environment, and our employees are rising to the challenge.”

Supporting First Responders During Crisis

GOJO team members are working around the clock to ensure healthcare workers, first responders, and critical infrastructure providers have the PURELL® products they need during this crisis.

Our GOJO Purpose is Saving Lives and Making Life Better Through Well-Being Solutions, and we are grateful to partner with like-minded companies like Lubrizol to deliver on this Purpose out in the world, and in Northeast Ohio,” said Carey Jaros, GOJO president and CEO.

Both GOJO and Lubrizol, detected the growing coronavirus in December and ramped up production to support global needs. Together, the two organizations have been working together to prioritize product getting to hospitals, first responders, and critical infrastructure – all those on the frontlines.
