SurfactGreen expands its global network with the appointment of ChemSpec’s Cosmetics Division as its US East Coast distributor for their biosourced cationic surfactants, CosmeGreen™.
Readily Biodegradable Surfactants
SurfactGreen was the first company to launch 100 percent bio-sourced conditioning agents in France. Their mission is to research, develop and manufacture plant-derived cationic surfactants. Their innovation charter combines the following concepts: clean, green, performance.
In Personal Care, SurfactGreen offers two ingredients under the brand CosmeGreen™, globally patented. CosmeGreen™ ES 1822+ and CosmeGreen™ MS1822 are readily biodegradable, respectively 100% and 99% bio-based (natural origin ISO 16128) cationic surfactants/conditioning agents, manufactured following the principles of green chemistry.
They are both palm-free and derived from upcycled glycine betaine from sugar beet and fatty alcohol from rapeseed. They can be used in a variety of formulations for hair and skin products and are perfectly suitable for solid and waterless products.
ChemSpec distributes specialty ingredients into the North American cosmetics market. The Cosmetics Division will be presenting CosmeGreen products through a webinar presentation on 23 June 2021.
