PEG-75 LANOLIN

PEG-75 Lanolin is a cosmetic grade ingredient that works as an emollient which helps in hydrating and softening the skin. It appears as a pale yellow liquid that is odorless. PEG-75 Lanolin is also a great surfactant and emulsifier that helps to combine water-based and oil-based ingredients in a formulation and form a stable product. In personal care products, this ingredient is highly nourishing and also protects the skin by forming a protective barrier on the surface.

What is PEG-75 LANOLIN used for?

PEG-75 Lanolin is very useful for the cosmetic and personal care industry. It can be found in products such as foundations, eyeshadows, lotions, creams, and lip balms.

Decorative cosmetics: It improves the texture of the products and keeps different ingredients in the formulation from separating. It also reduces the harsh and dry nature of cosmetics by making them smoother and hydrating
Hair care: It offers natural shine to the shafts by nourishing and conditioning them. It also forms a protective barrier on the scalp and promotes healthy hair - full of sheen and shine

Origin

PEG-75 Lanolin is made from wool wax that comes from the wool of sheep. It is made by hydrogenation and hydrolysis of the wool which involves breaking down the fatty acids into smaller molecules. These molecules are then manufactured into the cosmetic grade ingredient - PEG-75 Lanolin.

PEGg-75 Lanolin is safe for skin and hair. The recommended use level of this ingredient is between 0.5-20%. Levels of PEG-75 Lanolin higher than this can cause side effects such as rashes, itching, and redness. A patch test is recommended before full application. Further, it is non-comedogenic and does not cause blemishes or acne. This ingredient is not vegan.

Decorative Cosmetics: Multipurpose Liquid Liner – “White Starship” by Eckart

This Multipurpose Liquid Liner – “White Starship” is an o/w emulsion. It is long-lasting and features: Optigel® WX: which is a thickening agent, stabilizer and film former. It offers smoothness and improves lubricity without being sticky. Syncrystal® Soft Silver: which is a very fine interference pearlescent pigment. It gives clean silver reflection color to create silky effects in color cosmetics and personal care products. Mirage® Glamour Blue: which is a pearlescent pigment with a blue reflection color. It provides outstanding transparency, pleasant skin feeling, stunning effects and very good performance even at low levels of use. A formulation by Eckart.

Glucamate™ LT Thickener provides efficient thickening and excellent clarity, while also imparting mildness and helping to reduce the irritation of the surfactant and alcohol system. Solulan™ L-575 Lanolin Derivative brings moisturization and comfort to avoid skin tightening.

Hair Care: Styling Spray Mousse

This styling spray mousse allows for "hands-free" application, and provides excellent hold. AMAZE® starch fixative provides superior hold. CELQUAT® L-200 polymer enhances the formula with excellent wet comb and shine. Spray this mousse directly onto the roots of your hair to add volume, hold and shine.

Toiletries: Mild Liquid Soap

This formulation is for a simple synthetic liquid soap. Incronam 30, a mild amphoteric detergent, improves the overall mildness and feel of the product. Superfatting is imparted by Solan E50, a water soluble lanolin derivative. The inclusion of Cithrol EGMS provides an attractive pearly appearance.
